This term we have been learning about space exploration. We have been comparing and contrasting discoveries in a timeline of events that has led ustowards understanding the solar system better.
From the Moon landings in 1969 onwards, we have looked at how technology can explore the places that people can’t reach. By researching the photographs and readings that satellites have sent millions of light years across space back to Earth, we have found out what the planets in our solar system look like close up, what the planets are made from, and discovered new moons.
NASA’s next big challenge is to land humans on Mars, and you’d be surprised at how close they are to actually doing it! They’ve set a date for 2030!
