Special Needs and Inclusion Drop Ins (October 2015)
On the 22nd September we had the first of our drop in sessions for parents who would like to find out more about Special Needs and Inclusion in the school. The first session focused on ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants). The drop in was an opportunity for parents to find out how we identify children with social and emotional needs and what we can provide in terms of support and resources.
Each session focuses on a different area and will include a short informal presentation and a relaxed discussion over refreshments with the Special Needs Co-ordinator, Nicky Lawrence or the Inclusion Leader, Rachel Fever. The sessions also provide an opportunity to book longer appointments in order to discuss any concerns further or in more detail. The next drop in session will be on 20th October at 2.30 and will focus on ‘Positive Behaviour Management’. For a full list of drop in sessions that may interest you please see the flyer located in the main reception. We look forward to seeing you soon.
