Veni, Vedi, Vici!

4BH Assembly - Veni, Vedi, Vici!

Many thanks go to class 4BH who on Thursday 2nd February presented a very exciting assembly!

The assembly began with children holding up pictures they had created using paints and charcoal of Roman soldiers guarding Hadrian’s Wall.  We then watched amazed as Roman soldiers marched towards the wall to the sound of drums.  After this we listened in on a conversation the Celts and the Romans had about each other and even witnessed a fashion show!

Having seen a group of Celts building a road (whilst eavesdropping on their thoughts) we were entertained by a rich Roman couple planning their evening banquet.  Did you know that the Romans ate stuffed dormice?

Anyway, whilst the slave was out shopping we listened to the authors of some amazing persuasive writing posters, convincing Romans to come to Britannia!

4BH would like to give a special thanks to all the family members and friends who came to see their assembly.  A fantastic turnout!

The pictures of Hadrian’s Wall are now on display on the Year 4 stairs.
