What we have been up to in 1LH

What we have been up to in 1LH

During Autumn 2, in English, we have been writing firework poems using our senses from last half term. In History, we have been learning about WW1 and the importance of Remembrance Day. In Maths, we have been identifying 2D and 3D shapes, partitioning our numbers into tens and ones and singing our number bonds to 10. We have also been having fun learning about our new topic toys!

This week 1LH are finding out what it is like to be a scientist. They have been looking at materials and their properties. Our budding scientists have been working on an important experiment to find the best material to use to build a shelf for their favourite toys. They sourced the materials that they wanted to test and together have been putting Teddy through his paces. Alongside this 1LH have been sorting toys into old and new and using adjectives to describe the difference between old and new toys. They have been designing their own teddy bears using different types of materials and have had the opportunity to look and play with all kinds of toys from different eras.

Well Done 1LH !
