Write on ...
‘Write’ On . . .
Congratulations to the first pupil in our school to receive the prestigious, newly established ‘Pen Licence’ on 27th November 2015. This means that the pupil will now be able to write using one of our new BiC Fountain Pens in all of their schoolwork.
Since returning to school in September, the children have been getting presentation points for all of their writing (in English and in Topic work). When a child scores 10 out of 10 on 5 consecutive occasions, they visit Mrs Hudson so that she can have a look at how well they have done. Then they are awarded the Pen Licence, a ‘Star Writer’ pencil to take home and the fountain pen. We share this achievement with them in Celebration or Golden Leaf Assembly and let them know how very proud we are of them.
Mrs Hudson is looking forward to seeing more children achieve their Pen Licence as we approach the end of term. You can always practise your neat, legible cursive handwriting at home using the alphabet practise pages in the Home School Book. Or you could write out a poem and bring it in to your teacher to show them how hard you are working on your handwriting and presentation. You could even get a star point for extra hard work.
