IS YOUR CHILD DUE TO START SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SEPTEMBER 2025?
IS YOUR CHILD 3 OR 4 YEARS OLD?
ARE YOU APPLYING FOR A PLACE IN RECEPTION TO START IN SEPTEMBER 2025?
If your child was born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019, you must apply by 15 January 2025 for your child’s school place.
We hope to be able to offer a place for children in the autumn term after their fourth birthday. All admissions to Somerford Primary are managed by applying to BCP Council. This is most easily done by visiting:

On this site you are able to find out if you live in our catchment area, make an application for a place and appeal if you have been turned down for a place. You will also find all policies and procedures relating to admissions and contact details for the admissions team.
Once you have been offered a place we will be in contact to explain the variety of events which take place in the summer term before your child begins with us.
APPLYING FOR A PLACE IN OTHER YEAR GROUPS
We have limited spaces in some of our year groups and would welcome enquires about places with us. Again the allocation of places in is managed by BCP council at the address below.

Once you have been allocated a place, please contact Mrs Cutler on 01202 485436 who will email you a school admission form and organise a start date with you. You will also need to bring your child’s full birth certificate to school on the first day so that we can take a copy for our records.
MOVING UP TO SECONDARY SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER 2025
