Music making is at the heart of the music curriculum at Somerford Primary School.
Children are taught the skills of performing, composing, listening and appraising on a weekly basis. Lessons take place in our well equipped music room on a whole class basis. Children are given the opportunity to perform using a wide range of percussion instruments and keyboards.
All children have the opportunity to sing in our weekly whole-school singing practise and a School Choir is available for Key Stage Two children. Children are also given opportunities to perform in the wider community, such as Christchurch Priory and at various school calendar events such as Nativities, Harvest and end of year musical productions.
